Eagles of Death Metal band members Jesse Hughes and Dave Catching returned to Paris for a surprise show Monday, exactly two years after terrorists killed dozens of people during their show at the Bataclan.

“I’m so happy and pleased to see all of you,” Hughes told the audience, according to NME. “The only reason we’re still standing is because you all still love rock and roll.”

The singer and the guitarist performed two songs — “Save a Prayer” and “I Love You All the Time” — outside the town hall.

Sting was the first to perform at the reopened the venue, a year after 90 people died.

Jared Leto, whose band Thirty Seconds to Mars played at the Bataclan a year prior to the terrorist attacks, also visited the memorial.

“Paid a visit to the #Bataclan on the anniversary of this horrific tragedy,” Leto tweeted. “Sending our hearts and thoughts to the victims and their families.”

The actor spoke out about the tragedy at the American Music Awards in 2015, just 10 days after the massacre.
